I have been working on my version of Camille Roskelley’s Swoon pattern, ready for the Canberra Quilters Exhibition in August. It’s due at the end of next week and like the great procrastinator I am, it will be finished at the end of next week.
I’ve decided to use Monica Poole’s Quilt As You Go method; I did a workshop with her a few years ago and it’s a much easier way to quilt such a huge quilt on a domestic machine.
Here’s a sneak peek for you; the middle block. I’ve added some little pinwheels for each cornerstone to add a little further splash of colour. I’m doing simple straight line quilting; my first competition quilt is not the time to practice fancy-pants free-motion quilting…. That’s all you get to see for now!
