I've been much too quiet here on the blog for various reasons but I'm now back and one of the things I'll be participating in weekly is Molli Sparkles' Sunday Stash. I'm going to add my own flavour to it though. Instead of just showing you pieces of my stash, I'm going to show you what I plan to do with them. It's no good my having all this fabric accumulate if I don't have plans for them.
Here's where you come in, Dear Reader. I'm sure I am not alone in having bits of fabric that I bought 'just because'. Sometimes I will post pieces of my fabric that I don't yet have a plan for and when I do, I would love you to suggest a pattern that you think would work really nicely. The caveat is that it has to be readily available in Australia, or in PDF form.
Sometimes, there will be fabric that I don't know what to do with and that I've fallen out of love with. On those days, I'll let you know and you are welcome to yell out (metaphorically speaking) and commission me to make you a quilt from it. I would love to do that for you! Again, remember I live in Australia so as well as the cost of the quilt you'll need to take postage into account.
So, what do we have today? A couple of months ago I went to a workshop with Camille Roskelley, held at Kim's Creations at Castle Hill in Sydney. I'll be interviewing Kim in a later blog post so stay tuned. I bought this Miss Kate layer cake on the day.
I'm really looking forward to yardage being available here but until then, I'm planning to make Lella Boutique's Starstruck Pattern. I first saw it on Instagram and I think it will be perfect for this.
But now it's back to Swoon - my competition quilt is due on 9 August and I must get a wriggle on....
What about you; what are you making this week?
