Yesterday I completed my first two blocks and commenced the third on my Dear Jane quilt. I'll do the majority of them using the English Paper Piecing method but the easy pieced ones I'm doing by machine and the easy applique ones will be done by buttonhole applique. I've started with some easy ones to build my confidence but am looking forward to sinking my teeth into some challenging ones now.
This is the colour scheme I'm going with (except for the light pink on the end); bright rainbow on black. As I mentioned I was going to do batiks but in the end I didn't like it.
My configuration is also different to the way most people arrange it but I love it.
So, onto the blocks. I've completed A6 and M10 and commenced C9 (I just have to do the buttonhole stitch), and here they are:
I'm going on a road trip to a conference to Melbourne next week so I'm hoping to get some blocks cut and ready to go so I can take them with me.
Until then, happy stitching.
